Stella McCartney was born and raised in London where she graduated from Central St Martins in 1995.  The daughter of  former Beetles member Paul McCartney and of the late animal rights activist and photographer Linda McCartney.  She has a signature style of sharp tailoring, natural confidence and sexy femininity which was immediately apparent in her first collection.  In 1997 after only two collections McCartney was appointed the Creative Director of Chloe in Paris where she enjoyed great success during her tenure.  In 2001, Stella McCartney launched her own fashion house under her name in a joint venture with the Gucci Group.  Her first designer fashion collection was October 2001 in Paris.  Stella McCartney’s  Spring 2011 Collection is bold with wide appeal for the fashion world.
